I intended to post this up sooner, but I was able to get the final kits for the month that just came in earlier this morning.

Yep. There are 2 Master Grade Exias. I already got started on the WIP and the build so it should come up eventually before school starts. Also started working on the MG RX-178 Gundam Mk-II ver. 2.0 AEUG HD Limited. Just typing the name of the kit is a mouthful. >.<

Cherudim and Gaddess were recent Rainbow Ten arrivals that were ordered awhile back. The Arche and Mk-II were from Chicago-Comic Con. Check MAPmySOUL for the coverage of our group’s Friday at the con. Exias were the first of the month. =P

Macross Frontier - 25 - Large 51

Ah, its been a while since I last posted. I have to remind myself to actually do this more. Heh heh. Any ways…

I’ve recently finished Macross Frontier after maybe 6 months of putting it off for other things, like college applications, school work, papers, art, and costumes. I don’t really find myself to enthralled with most anime nowadays and I can rarely find one that I seem to enjoy. To my dismay, the only ones that seem slip through are with “moe moe kyun~” and giant robots. Macross Frontier has the right mix of both in a way.

Macross Frontier - 25 - Large 34

The music found within the series is one of the major things that made me fall in love with it. Though, having music be a catalyst that causes the end of fighting and battles seems unrealistic, but you have to understand the philosophy of the series, in which song, culture, and love can bring about understanding between all species and people in the universe. Its amazing how one can believe that they can transition from harsh battles and warfare to having the Galactic Nymph or the Super Dimensional Cinderella belt their hearts out in the middle of battles. I really have to praise the series with such wonderful music used in this incarnation of the Macross series. Play the video to hear the mash-up of all my favorite songs. It was actually used in the final episode as well. ^^;

There are spoilers ahead. Do not proceed further if you do not wish to read them.

It amazing how only 2 years ago the creators had the entire story in their hands and yet still released a teaser for episode 1 before releasing the series. Apparently there is one strong parallel I found with Gundam 00. In both series, there lies a 4-man (or main squad) of pilots that have snipers. Both are likeable… hell, even loveable characters. And both suffered horrible deaths, though both linked to someone they love: to defend and as revenge. They were a major force between the pilots, as well as treasured friends.

Macross Frontier - 20 - Large 33

I never liked Michel much since the start of watching, but towards the end I began to like him even more as they began to flesh out his character. Its a shame that he had to die, but it felt like it would be him or Luca since the start.

The last scene from Episode 20.

Heh, I don’t know what else I have to say about this series, but I just love it to death. I should of finished it sooner. >.<

I still need to pick up a VF-25 Princess Custom now. Hopefully I can find one for cheap at Chicago Comic-Con/Wizard World/Anime Central Aftershock (3 cons in one? Yes.)

DE-CULCHA~!!!

P7070021Soooo much gold. Its all starting to come together now. I just finished the leg unit and I’m really impressed with the articulation found in the SF. About 1/4 through the Super DRAGOON pack I gave up. I’m pretty tired and feel like I got enough completed for now. Most likely I’ll finished whatever I can tonight. The SF should be done by tomorrow though.

P7070024Ahhhh. Such a mess. >.<

Currently in the middle of building the Strike Freedom. I’ve always loved the design of the orignal Freedom Gundam, but always thought the Strike Freedom was just upgraded with unnecessary equipment. Also the gold seemed too much as well. But building it is making me love it evven more. I prefer the head of the Impulse better than the SF’s though. =P

I’ve made some minor changes to the color of the gold on the inner frame. Sprayed it with Tamiya gold and its looking great. I might put a gloss on top once its finished. This is as much as I can build tonight. I’m burnt out. >.<

Was Stumbling around the internet and I happened to come across this video:

I thought it was pretty intriguing and creative. I even thought about heading into field related to typographical works such as this. As my thoughts began to wander off elsewhere, I started to look of other typography videos.

I wonder if I can get into learning out to properly do this while at art school. I’m thinking about having this as something that I’d be able to work on someday.

I’m actually writing this in the past tense since I first came across this about a couple weeks ago. I just thought I’d get it out to all those who read this. I hope I can do this in art school. I hope. >.<

Looks like the boxart was recently released to the public.  I got these pics from Ngee Khiong, but was  linked to Ruli PlaModel Forum. They also have the box art for the regular Exia release. The first batch of the Ignition Mode is about 5000 yen ($50 US). I’m glad I was able to preorder the kit from HLJ… yet I’m still tempted to buy both versions so I can have an Exia Repair on display with the Ignition Mode. (more…)

So I’ve finally taken the plunge and moved to WordPress, and I must say that this place is wonderful. There is just so much to praise about the way that they present the blogging format. LiveJournal does one thing extremely well, the community aspect of blogging.  WordPress tends to do the same, but yet make it more user friendly and make it more geared towards blogging, rather than a diary, to which LiveJournal is known for.

Been contemplating on making the move to a more permanent location for this blog. I feel like making the switch to something that will get more hits. Personally the direction I intended for this LJ has fallen down a deep, deep hole. In an effort to bring a new community to this blog and my words, I most likely will have to make the switch to either WordPress or Blogger.

The direction I will drive this blog into will go into life, interesting information I find, Gunpla and figure reviews, and works in progress.

All I can say is that for me to progress blogging and make it seem interesting, I have to move away from this silly little life here. Kick logic to the curb and keep walking the path towards the heavens.

Heh, I think I’m done here. I’ll try and find some way to transfer my posts from here.
